We are currently seeking a PRN Telemetry Technician to support our Early Phase Clinical Research Unit . In this role, you'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and clinical support for research participants enrolled in Phase I clinical trials. This is a PRN, onsite position , with hours based on study needs, including early mornings, extended hours, and weekends. Working in earlyphase research offers a unique opportunity to combine direct patient care with cuttingedge clinical science. You'll play a critical role in monitoring participant safety while contributing to the development of future treatments. What You Will Do You will use your clinical skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment to support participant safety and data accuracy in a fastpaced research environment. Other key responsibilities: Continuous cardiac monitoring and accurate interpretation of telemetry data Prompt identification and communication of rhythm changes or abnormalities Accurate collection and documentation of vital signs Preparation, placement, and recording of ECGs/Holter monitors Support emergency response procedures per clinical research standards Assist with room setup, equipment preparation, and study readiness Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment Support screening and participant monitoring as needed Perform additional duties as required by study protocols What You Bring High School Diploma or equivalent Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements. 0-1 year of telemetry experience Prior clinical or patient-care experience preferred (telemetry, cardiac, acute care, or hospital setting ideal). Work Environment: Work is performed in a laboratory and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Occasional drives to site locations, occasional domestic travel. Exposure to biological fluids. Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments, and gloves. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in an upright and /or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment. Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck. Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf. Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs. Regular and consistent attendance. Varied hours may be required. The important thing for us is you are comfortable working in an environment that is: Fast paced : where no deviations from the study protocol are allowed, and not meeting a timeline for even few minutes will create a quality issue. We are currently seeking a OPV (Outpatient Visit) Research Technician, to interact directly with our healthy volunteer participants while learning to read clinical research protocols and enjoy working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. Each day is different, you will be exposed to a wide variety of Therapeutic Indications and study types (ascending dose, first-in-human, food effect, drug to drug interactions, etc.). This is a full-time, rotating weekends (if needed), office/clinic-based job in Dallas, TX. If you join us, you will work with some of the worlds leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies in a vital stage of clinical development: establishing the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of a new drug. Many are drawn to their profession because of its direct impact on patient care. If this is your case, you will not miss that working in Phase 1 trials. Whilst allowing you to have a close face-to-face relationship with participants, and as you continue to practice your clinical skills and knowledge, youll be involved with the latest medical technologies and treatments, witnessing their development firsthand. Obtain informed consent and collect medical histories from participants. Perform and/or coordinate protocol-required screening procedures and assessments. Review screening records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Prepare screening charts for physician and study manager review. Maintain accurate participant status records within the study database. Other duties as assigned. YOU NEED TO BRING... High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years research experience may be substituted for education requirement. Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements. EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA or CNA certification, preferred.
