Ideal candidates will have a strong structural background and be knowledgeable in piping supports and HVAC duct support. This role will focus on structural design reviews and supporting safety basis structural items that need to be addressed during projects. Familiarity with concrete foundations and steel structures is desired. Job Responsibilities Support design efforts of modifications on existing facilities. Assist in the design and construction of infrastructure projects. Work with a team of multi-engineers in support of facility design and/or improvements. Perform structural analysis, including some calculations. GT Strudl or STAAD software experience is desired. Be able to perform walkdowns as needed. DOE experience preferred, but not required. NDT Level I and II candidates shall require a minimum of 175 hours of practical work experience . NDT Level III To be considered for certification, a candidate should satisfy one of the following criteria for the applicable NDT level: (a) Have graduated from a minimum four-year college or university curriculum with a degree in engineering or science, plus one year's experience in Digital Radioscopy, beyond the requirements of a NDT Level II in an assignment comparable to a NDT Level II or: (b) Have completed with passing grades at least two years of engineering or science study at a university, college, or technical school, plus two years' experience beyond the NDT Level II requirements in Digital Radioscopy in an assignment comparable to that of a NDT Level II or: (c) Have four years' experience beyond the NDT Level II requirements in Digital Radioscopy in an assignment comparable to that of a NDT Level II or: (d) Hold a current ASNT NDT Level III certificate in the relevant method. Job Responsibilities: We are looking for a fire protection engineer to support new and existing facility designs and on an existing facilities in efforts to modify it. Primary responsibilities include engineering task analysis, walk-downs, design development and generation of design output documents. This includes: Plan Drawings, Elevation Drawings, Piping Isometrics, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, Riser Details, Hydraulic Calculations (manual and electronically using "HASS" software), and Sway Brace Calculations in accordance with NFPA codes and standards. Provide technical support to site construction forces, start-up & testing, suppliers or subcontract personnel. Prepare Data Sheets, Statements of Work, Procurement Specifications, Design Build Specifications, and Purchase Requisitions. Ideal candidate will have eight (8) years recent design experience, with suppression systems design preferred. Candidates will have experience/knowledge in mechanical systems, P&ID development, pump calculations, line sizing, and mechanical equipment sizing calculations. Candidate must have a working knowledge of NFPA Codes and Standards. Qualifications Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited institution in fire protection or mechanical engineering, and at least 10 years of professional experience in the design and construction of infrastructure projects. Must be a U.S. citizen Q Clearance is preferred or the ability to gain one.
