Description Distribution Associate II Under general guidance and direction, competently performs one or more distribution functions which may include stocking, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, routing, loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and/or performing clean up. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Competently performs one or more of the following functions: Shipping: Enters order/shipping information into the system and affixes shipping labels/packing slips to packages. Packs boxes into pallets and confirms orders when they are ready. May assist in performing final assembly on products prior to packing. Receiving: Receives incoming products/materials, performs initial inspection, confirms arrival, resolves discrepancies and enters into ERP system. Inventory: Counts the number of units in inventory and maintains proper stock levels. Investigates and solves simple discrepancies and notifies the supervisor to solve discrepancies that are more difficult. Conducts inventory transfers, rotates stock, replenishes stock and receives parts within the system. Loading: Loads/unloads trucks, move pallets and load products onto pallets using a forklift. Contributes to ensuring customers are satisfied by delivering undamaged products. May perform a daily inspection of the forklift and basic maintenance. May perform picking and packing functions as needed or required by location : Picking: Accurately prioritizes and picks items from designated locations using picking tickets or other reports. Verifies and confirms customer orders, SKU's and the quantities picked are accurate while following any special instructions. Packing: Packs and organizes orders/boxes for shipment, verifies for accuracy, follows any special instructions, and includes necessary paperwork and/or accessories. Other : Meets established production and quality goals efficiently and accurately. Continuously identifies and proposes procedures and processes to improve service, safety and profitability. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by cleaning the shipping and receiving floor, emptying trash, preparing and moving empty boxes for trash and setting all trash out for pickup. Adheres to all safety procedures. Maintains good relationships with team members and cross-functional departments. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES None EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Education: High school education or equivalent. Experience: Typically requires 1 year of experience in performing one or more general warehouse functions such as picking, packing shipping and/or receiving. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Demonstrated attention to detail, good planning and time management skills, great listening skills and the ability to handle shifting priorities. Ability to safely operate and use warehouse equipment such as a forklift, reach truck, order picker /or and pallet jack. FedEx, UPS and other shipping software knowledge. Ability to accurately complete repetitive tasks with limited direction from a supervisor. Ability to follow all policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Basic computer skills to track and log information into computer systems and Microsoft Outlook (or similar email applications). Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with a variety of individuals including direct and written communication to drivers and customers to provide information and ensure accurate delivery. Description Manufacturing Engineer Analyzes and designs simple to moderately complex manufacturing/assembly processes and tools and performs troubleshooting of deficiencies. Maximizes efficiency and cost savings by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and workforce utilization. Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Creates, specifies and validates simple to moderately complex manufacturing processes to achieve productivity, quality, cost and organizational objectives. Optimizes the footprint and flow of manufacturing activities through the implementation of lean concepts to promote efficiency, quality and effectiveness. Creates metrics and measures manufacturing performance and standards while identifying equipment and process flow bottlenecks. Ensures application of ergonomics, workflow and accident prevention measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of plant facilities. Plans the effective utilization of production facilities and employees. Develops and proactively initiates process improvement actions to improve quality and delivery as well as reduce process variation and waste. Acts as a liaison between the manufacturing, engineering/R&D staff concerning issues, product design, troubleshooting, functional requirements, quality and efficiency. Provides project management support to implement new or improve existing products or processes. Performs layout designs and documentation to specify process specifications, instructions and processes. Participates in the new product development processes, and provides guidance on enhancements and processes. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of manufacturing processes, concepts, practices and procedures. Knowledge of modern flow manufacturing methods and techniques used in a fast-paced assembly environment. Ability to design and build jigs and fixtures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), engineering related computer systems/applications or equivalent. Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software such as ProE, AutoCAD or SolidWorks (software required varies by location). Good written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills to interact with and motivate diverse groups of people and create technical documents. Description Production Associate II Under general supervision and direction, performs routine to moderately complex assembly to achieve daily-targeted output, quality and productivity standards. Assembly functions may include mechanical or electrical subassembly or final assembly in compliance to company quality and workmanship standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Performs routine to moderately complex assembly or subassembly on assigned products using machinery and/or tools (may use hand tools and power tools) as well as correct production methods to ensure accuracy and quality of finished products. Maintains production output levels consistent with set standards. Sets-up, maintains and/or calibrates equipment. Monitors machinery and advises maintenance of necessary repairs. Thoroughly checks products to ensure they are conforming to the specifications. May perform testing, quality inspections and reworking of deficient components and/or finished products to ensure efficient operation. Informs management on issues related to quality, production, and/or safety, which may adversely affect meeting the areas goals. Makes recommendations for general improvements to the production process.
